Wi-Fi at the Airport

While you are at Brisbane Airport, whether waiting for a flight or meeting a passenger, you can take advantage of the free Wi-Fi that is available throughout the international and domestic terminals. Connect with your smartphone, tablet or laptop and catch up with social media, check your emails or finish some last-minute business before your flight.

In the international terminal, the Wi-Fi is available in all areas, but the signal is stronger on levels 3 and 4 near to the shopping areas and weaker close to the gates. In the domestic terminal, the central area has the best signal.

In the vicinity of the Virgin and Qantas gate areas of the domestic terminal, the airlines offer their own free limited Wi-Fi for their passengers. Check the airlines' websites for details. Also, the VIP lounges of the airport offer exclusive high-speed Wi-Fi.

The airport Wi-Fi is limited to three hours and 500Mb. The speed is sufficient for normal browsing but not recommended for video streaming or other high-volume data transfers. There are terms and conditions relating to the use of the service which can be found on the airport website.

Connecting to Free Wi-Fi

To connect to the free internet facility on your Wi-Fi enabled laptop, tablet or phone, use the following steps:

In the Wi-Fi options select "BNE Free Wifi".
If a welcome page doesn't open automatically, open any tab in your browser.
When prompted, accept the terms and conditions in the box that appears.
Start browsing.

If you experience any issues with connecting to the Wi-Fi service, you should fill in the form here or send an email to this address feedback@bne.com.au with the following information:

The make and model of your device.
The IP or MAC code of the device.
The time at which you had the problem connecting.
Describe what appeared on the screen.
Your name, email address and phone number.

Mobile Charging Stations

If you need to charge your mobile device, mobile charging stations are available in the passenger-only areas of both terminals of the airport.

In the domestic terminal, there are two charging stations; one in the central area of level 2 opposite the Cavu coffee bar and the other in the central satellite on the left-hand side.

The charging station in the international terminal is in the retail area of level 3 in front of JR Watch Co.
