Brisbane Airport Buses

There are no public bus routes operating out of Brisbane Airport, but it is possible to make a connection at Skygate for the public service, if that is your chosen mode of transport. The Airtrain is the best public service to get to Brisbane city centre and beyond, or you can use the private transfer company called Con-X-ion. There is more information about this service further down the page.

The buses you will find at the airport offer the following services:

• Terminal Transfer Bus – A free bus service that runs between the domestic and international terminals.
• Skygate Bus – A free bus service to take you to Skygate.
• Airpark Transfer Bus – A free bus that takes you to the long-term car park.
• Con-X-ion – A private transfer company that can take you to Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Terminal Transfer Bus

The free terminal transfer bus runs between the domestic and international terminals every ten minutes at peak times. From the domestic terminal the service is from 05:20 to 23:00. From the international terminal it’s from 04:30 to 22:50. Outside of these times, use the Airpark transfer bus (see further down the page).

Skygate Bus

This free bus also serves Brisbane’s Skygate from 06:20 to 18:00. Skygate is a large retail and entertainment centre with 160 shops and a variety of restaurants, cafés and coffee shops. To return to the airport, the bus stops on 9th Avenue between Skygate and DFO.

Travel times to Skygate are fifteen minutes from the international terminal and five minutes from the domestic terminal. The return journey times from Skygate are ten minutes to international and twenty minutes to domestic (via international).

From Skygate, you can connect to the 590 Translink bus service which runs from the Toombul Interchange in the north of the city, via Skygate for the airport, to the Garden City interchange to the south of the city. The full timetable can be found here.

Airpark Transfer Bus

The complimentary Airpark transfer bus runs twenty-four hours a day between Airpark, the airport’s long-term parking facility, and both terminals. This service runs every fifteen minutes from 05:00 to 21:30 and every twenty-five minutes from 21:30 to 05:00.

To catch the free buses, there are stops at each end of the domestic terminal and outside the international terminal on level four. Full details of the transfer buses can be found here.

Con-X-ion

Con-X-ion Airport Transfers run scheduled services to Brisbane Airport, meeting every flight to arrive at both the international and domestic terminals seven days a week. They offer return or one-way journeys to and from Brisbane city centre, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.

Travel can be booked in advance online or on arrival at the airport. They have a customer service desk on level two of the international terminal and a booth just outside the arrivals hall of the domestic terminal.

Fares to Brisbane and the Gold Coast are from AU$15.00 and to the Sunshine Coast from AU$41.00. A family fare is available when buying tickets for two adults and two children. Children under one travel free.
